Activation principle of multi-stage furnace

The multi-stage furnace can be used as an independent carbonization device or an independent activation device, and can also be used as an integrated carbonization and activation device according to process adjustments.

Activation principle: Activated carbon or activated coke can be made from a variety of raw materials, including coal, coconut shell, wood, lignite, coking coal, etc. The raw materials are usually carbonized first, and then activated at high temperature to obtain a well-developed network pore structure, which can provide "adsorption sites" with adsorption activity for gas or liquid chemical pollutants.


Multi-stage furnace activation process

The carbonized material with a temperature lower than 300°C (if the carbonized material conveying and feeding device made of heat-resistant steel is used, and there is no safety problem, the feeding temperature of the carbonized material is allowed to be further increased) through the screw feeder and the closed feeding valve. Feed the material to the furnace, and start from the next furnace, use the high-temperature gas flowing from the lower furnace to heat the carbonized material to above 800°C. Add two or three burners, steam nozzles and secondary air nozzles per layer. The furnace temperature is controlled within the preset (510)°C activation temperature range, and the activation starts. The bottom furnace does not have additional burners and secondary air nozzles for cooling the bed. The activation time is adjusted by the rotational speed of the central shaft. The active material discharged continuously from the multi-stage furnace enters the forced jacket cooler (refrigerant is water), and the temperature of the active material discharged from the forced cooler is lower than 50°C, and can directly enter the subsequent screening and packaging process.

When used to manufacture desulfurization and denitrification activated coke, the activated coke should be granulated first, and the raw coal, auxiliary coal and binder should be sent to the rolling granulation device for continuous rolling granulation. The particles formed by rolling are sent to the mesh belt dryer for drying, and the tail gas generated during the drying process is sent to the desulfurization device; secondly, the particles roasted by the mesh belt dryer are sent to the multi-stage furnace for carbonization, activation and oxidation Treatment, the tail gas generated during the process is sent to the post-combustion chamber to generate high-temperature flue gas to produce high-pressure steam; the particles after carbonization, activation, and oxidation in the multi-stage furnace are quickly sent to the solid-liquid forced cooler for cooling, and then cooled by the solid-liquid forced cooler The final particles are sent out to prepare activated carbon for desulfurization and denitrification.
